Maxi-Cosi Mico Stroller Compatibility: Every Stroller + the Exact Adapter
Short answer: a Maxi-Cosi Mico-series seat (Mico, Mico Max 30, Mico NXT, Mico AP, Mico Max Plus, Mico Luxe+, Coral XP) clicks directly onto a Maxi-Cosi or Quinny stroller frame with no adapter. On every other stroller brand, you need a named adapter — and which exact Mico you own matters, because the adapter lists genuinely don’t agree with each other.
For the UPPAbaby-specific breakdown (upper vs. lower position, the Mico Luxe+ exclusion), see our dedicated Maxi-Cosi × UPPAbaby adapter guide — this page covers the other stroller brands.
The short version
- Maxi-Cosi / Quinny’s own strollers — direct click-in, no adapter.
- UPPAbaby — adapter required; covers Mico Max 30/NXT/AP/Max Plus but explicitly excludes Mico Luxe+. Full detail on our UPPAbaby page.
- Bugaboo — three separate adapters cover different Mico slices: Bee, Fox/Lynx/Buffalo, and Dragonfly frames each have their own part and their own model list.
- BOB Gear — covers Mico 30, Mico Max 30, and Mico AP only (2016+ Single strollers). Older Mico, Mico NXT, Mico Max Plus, Mico Luxe+, and Coral XP are not listed.
- Bumbleride Era — covers essentially the whole line, split across “current” (Mico 30, Mico AP, Mico Luxe, Mico Luxe+, Mico Pro) and “previous” (Coral XP, Mico Max Plus, Mico Max 30) compatibility.
- Mockingbird — covers only Mico Luxe or Luxe+. The older Mico, Mico Max, Mico AP, and Mico NXT are not listed as compatible with either Mockingbird adapter.

What we could not verify
- Bugaboo Donkey Mono/Duo — the historical part number (
MI000615) could not be re-confirmed on a live, current bugaboo.com URL; every path we tried either 404’d or redirected to a non-US regional page. Treat as unverified pending a working link. - Baby Jogger — the domain returned a Cloudflare “Just a moment…” challenge page on every attempt (HTTP 403), even though a plain top-level fetch briefly appeared to succeed before redirecting. No claim published for Baby Jogger.
- Thule — unreachable, 403 on every path.
- The older Mico, Mico NXT, and Mico Max Plus on BOB Gear — BOB’s own compatibility document lists only Mico 30, Mico Max 30, and Mico AP; we’re not extending that to the rest of the family without a source naming them.
Why the exact model matters here
This is one of the clearest examples on the site of why brand-name compatibility claims aren’t good enough. “Compatible with Maxi-Cosi Mico” sounds like one answer, but in practice: Mockingbird only supports the newest two variants (Luxe/Luxe+), BOB Gear only supports three specific mid-generation ones, and Bugaboo splits its Mico support across three completely different adapter parts depending on which Bugaboo frame you own. A retailer page that says “works with Maxi-Cosi” without naming which Mico is quietly guessing on your behalf.

Confirm before you buy. Compatibility and adapter part numbers change with model-years, and a wrong adapter is a safety issue. We cite each manufacturer’s own chart and show when we last verified it — but always confirm the exact pairing on the manufacturer’s current compatibility page or with their support before purchasing.
