Chicco KeyFit 30 Stroller Compatibility: Every Stroller + the Exact Adapter Part

Short answer: the Chicco KeyFit 30 clicks straight onto every Chicco stroller except two — Chicco’s own words are “compatible with all Chicco strollers (except the Liteway and Urbino strollers).” On another brand’s frame you need that brand’s Chicco-specific adapter, and the exact part matters: UPPAbaby Vista/Cruz uses 0156, BOB Gear singles use S12045900 and Duallies S02984700, Bumbleride Era/Indie/Speed uses GCH-15, and Mockingbird uses its 5-in-1 adapter PD_SA_1_1. And several strollers people assume work have no Chicco adapter at all — including the UPPAbaby Minu and Ridge, and the Bumbleride Indie Twin. Every pairing gets one of three verdicts: Fits the seat clicks directly onto the frame, no adapter · Adapter compatible with a named adapter part · No fit not supported by the manufacturer.

First, which seat do you actually have?

The KeyFit 30 is Chicco’s rear-facing infant seat for babies 4–30 lb and up to 30 inches. It is sold in several trims that adapter makers name separately — KeyFit 30, KeyFit 30 ClearTex, KeyFit 30 Zip, KeyFit 30 Zip Air, KeyFit Magic — and it sits in a family alongside the KeyFit 35, KeyFit Max and Fit2. That matters because adapter compatibility lists are written per model name, not per family. Most manufacturers list the whole KeyFit range on one part; a few list only some trims. Where a list names your exact trim, we call it an Adapter fit. Where it doesn’t, we say so rather than assume the family carries over.

Every row below was read from the stroller maker’s own product page. A blank in the part-number column means the manufacturer publishes no Chicco adapter for that frame — which is a real answer, not a gap in our research.

Chicco strollers: direct click-in, with exactly two exceptions

If you are pairing a KeyFit 30 with a Chicco stroller, you buy nothing extra. Chicco states the rule on the seat’s own product page: it is “compatible with all Chicco strollers (except the Liteway and Urbino strollers).” Those two exceptions are not a footnote — the Liteway and the Urbino are both current, in-catalogue Chicco lightweight strollers, so it is entirely possible to buy a Chicco seat and a Chicco stroller that will not click together.

Chicco’s current US stroller lineup at the time of writing is the Corso Primo modular, the BravoFor2 standing/sitting double, the Cortina Together double, the KeyFit Caddy frame, the Activ3 jogger, and those two lightweights. Everything on that list except the Liteway and Urbino is a direct-fit travel system partner for a KeyFit 30. The KeyFit Caddy is the purest version of the idea — Chicco describes it as “compatible with all Chicco infant car seats (sold separately) with secure, click-in attachment,” an ultra-light frame whose entire job is carrying the seat.

Cross-brand: the exact part number for each stroller maker

UPPAbaby — part 0156, Vista and Cruz only

UPPAbaby publishes exactly one adapter in its whole range that names Chicco: the Car Seat Adapter for Vista & Cruz (Chicco), SKU 0156. It lists seven Chicco seats — KeyFit 35, KeyFit 30, KeyFit 30 Zip, KeyFit 30 Zip Air, Fit2, Fit2 LE and Fit2 Air — and fits the Vista (2015–2019), Vista V2, Cruz and Cruz V2. UPPAbaby adds two limits in the same breath: it is “not compatible with pre-2015+ Vista models,” and while the stroller “folds with adapter attached for all Vista and Cruz models,” the adapter must be removed before folding the Cruz V2. BOB Gear — S12045900 for singles, S02984700 for Duallies

BOB splits its Chicco adapter into two parts, and buying the wrong one is the classic BOB mistake. The single-jogger adapter S12045900 covers the Alterrain, Alterrain Pro, Blaze, Rambler, Revolution Flex 2016+/2.0/3.0, Revolution Pro 2016+ and Stroller Strides 2016+. The Duallie adapter S02984700 covers the Revolution Flex Duallie 2016+/2.0/3.0, Revolution Pro Duallie 2016+ and Fit4Mom Stroller Strides Duallie 2016+, plus the discontinued Sport Utility and Ironman Duallies. Both list the KeyFit 30 by name, along with KeyFit 30 Zip, KeyFit Zip Air, KeyFit Magic, Fit2 and KeyFit 35.

Note the 2016+ cutoff that runs through both lists. A secondhand Revolution from 2014 is a common Facebook Marketplace buy, and it is not on BOB’s adapter list.

BOB’s own safety note, verbatim: “Do not run or jog with your BOB Gear stroller when using an infant car seat adapter and car seat. The stroller may become unstable resulting in serious injury.” A jogging stroller in travel-system mode is a walking stroller. That warning sits on BOB’s adapter finder page and almost never survives into the round-ups that recommend BOB as a KeyFit partner.

Bumbleride — part GCH-15, plus a second part you may also need

Bumbleride’s Graco/Chicco adapter GCH-15 names the Chicco Fit2, KeyFit Max, KeyFit 35 and KeyFit 30, and fits the 2016-to-current Era, Indie and Speed. Bumbleride then states two things almost nobody repeats. First, the honest exclusion: “This adapter is not compatible with 2015 or prior models or Indie Twin.” Second, the buying trap: “Hot Shoes are required to accommodate this adapter if you have a 2016-2023 stroller. Current stroller models have hot shoes already installed.” If your Bumbleride is from 2016–2023, the adapter alone will not finish the job — you need the Hot Shoe set as well.

Mockingbird — the 5-in-1 adapter, SKU PD_SA_1_1

Mockingbird sells its adapter as a seat picker rather than a brand picker, which is genuinely useful: you choose your car seat and it selects the part. Every Chicco option — “Chicco KeyFit 30 or KeyFit 30 ClearTex,” “Chicco KeyFit or KeyFit ClearTex,” “Chicco KeyFit 35, 35 ClearTex, or 35 Zip ClearTex,” “Chicco KeyFit Max ClearTex or KeyFit Max Zip ClearTex,” “Chicco KeyFit Max Zip ClearLux” and “Chicco Fit2 or Fit2 Adapt” — resolves to the same 5-in-1 adapter, SKU PD_SA_1_1. If you are running the Single-to-Double with two infant seats, Mockingbird says you need two sets of adapters plus the 2nd Seat Kit.

What does not fit a KeyFit 30

This is the section the ranking round-ups leave out entirely. The most-linked competitor page for this query lists a dozen compatible brands and names no incompatible stroller at all — which is not a plausible picture of a market where every adapter page carries its own exclusions. These are the No-fits we could read in the manufacturers’ own words:

• Chicco Liteway and Chicco Urbino — the two exceptions Chicco itself names on the KeyFit 30 page. Same brand, no click-in.
• UPPAbaby Minu, Minu V2, Minu V3 and Ridge — UPPAbaby’s adapter range publishes Chicco compatibility for the Vista and Cruz only. Every Minu and Ridge adapter lists Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Cybex and Clek and stops there. “UPPAbaby” as a blanket answer is wrong; the Vista and Cruz are the UPPAbaby answer. The Minu and Ridge aren’t hostile to infant seats in general — they just need a frame-specific part, which is why even UPPAbaby’s own seat needs one there; see UPPAbaby Mesa stroller compatibility for those part numbers.
• The UPPAbaby Vista’s lower (second-seat) position — the lower adapter also lists no Chicco, so on a Vista double a KeyFit 30 can only ride up top. See our full Vista compatibility guide.
• Bumbleride Indie Twin — excluded by name on Bumbleride’s own adapter page, despite at least one ranking retailer guide listing the Indie Twin as KeyFit-compatible. We follow the manufacturer.
• Pre-2016 BOB frames, pre-2016 Bumbleride frames, and pre-2015 UPPAbaby Vista frames — three separate model-year cutoffs, all manufacturer-stated. Secondhand frames are where this bites.

If your stroller is on that list, the clean fix is to change one end of the pairing: pick a stroller whose maker publishes a Chicco adapter, or pick a seat the stroller’s adapter range actually names. Does a KeyFit 35 use the same adapter as a KeyFit 30?

In every list we read this time, yes — UPPAbaby’s 0156, BOB’s S12045900 and S02984700, Bumbleride’s GCH-15 and Mockingbird’s 5-in-1 all name the KeyFit 35 alongside the KeyFit 30. The KeyFit family shares a stroller-attachment interface, which is why one part usually carries the whole range.

“Usually” is doing real work in that sentence, though. Adapter lists are written per model name, and the trims drift: Bumbleride’s list names the KeyFit Max but not the KeyFit 30 Zip; BOB’s names KeyFit Magic and “KeyFit Zip Air” while UPPAbaby’s says “KeyFit 30 Zip Air.” Read your own trim off the adapter page before you buy, rather than trusting that a family name covers it.

What we could not verify this time

Three manufacturer sites blocked automated verification on 2026-07-24: Baby Jogger, Thule and Bugaboo all refused our request. Each of those brands is widely listed as KeyFit-compatible elsewhere, and Baby Jogger in particular groups Chicco with Peg Perego on a shared adapter. But our standing rule is that a “fits” verdict comes from the manufacturer’s own page or it does not get published — so those brands get no verdict here rather than a borrowed one. Naming the gap is the point. A compatibility table that quietly fills unverified cells is exactly how a parent ends up trusting an attachment nobody tested.

Buying the right part in 30 seconds

1. Chicco stroller? Buy nothing — unless it is a Liteway or Urbino, in which case nothing will make it fit.
2. UPPAbaby Vista or Cruz? Part 0156, upper position only, and remove it before folding a Cruz V2.
3. BOB Gear? Single frame S12045900, Duallie S02984700, 2016+ frames only — and do not jog with the seat on.
4. Bumbleride Era, Indie or Speed? Part GCH-15, plus the Hot Shoe set if your frame is 2016–2023. Not the Indie Twin.
5. Mockingbird? The 5-in-1 adapter, PD_SA_1_1; double it up and add the 2nd Seat Kit for twins.
6. Check the model year before you order anything secondhand — three of the five brands here have a hard frame-year cutoff.
7. Test the click. Installed correctly, the seat locks with a firm, definite click and will not lift or rock at either end.

Adapters and model lists change with each stroller refresh, so confirm your exact seat trim and frame year against the manufacturer’s current page before you buy.
