Cybex Aton & Cloud Stroller Compatibility: Every Stroller + the Exact Adapter

Short answer: Aton and Cloud are not the same seat, and they don’t have the same stroller compatibility. Cybex’s own strollers click either onto their own frame with an adapter — no drama there. But on third-party strollers, the two seat lines diverge sharply: UPPAbaby’s adapters name every Aton model by name and mention zero Cloud models anywhere. If you own a Cloud and a Vista, that’s worth knowing before you shop for an adapter that doesn’t exist.

The distinction most listings blur

Nearly every retailer round-up treats “Cybex” as one undifferentiated brand. It isn’t, for compatibility purposes. Cybex’s Aton line (Aton, Aton 2, Aton Q, Aton M) and Cloud line (Cloud Q, Cloud Z, Cloud T, and the newer Cloud G family) use different mounting generations, and third-party adapter makers publish separate — often non-overlapping — lists for each.

The short version

  • Cybex’s own strollers (Priam, Balios S Lux, Talos S Lux, Mios, Gazelle S) — fits with a Cybex-branded adapter. Cybex’s own product pages use generic “CYBEX infant car seat” language rather than itemizing Aton vs. Cloud by name, so treat this as a confident Fits but not a per-model guarantee for every Cloud variant.
  • UPPAbaby Vista/Cruz — Aton, Aton 2, Aton Q, Aton M are named explicitly on both adapters. No Cloud model appears anywhere in the compatibility bullets we read. That’s a No fit for Cloud on UPPAbaby as of this check.
  • Bumbleride Era — covers Cloud G, Cloud G Lux, Cloud G Pro, and Aton G under “current” models, and Aton/Aton 2/Aton Q under “previous” models. Cloud Q, Cloud Z, and Cloud T are not named — the adapter appears to track Cybex’s mounting generation, not the Aton/Cloud product line as a whole.
  • Chicco Bravo — its adapter bar is KeyFit/Fit2-specific and does not support Cybex seats at all. No fit.
  • Baby Jogger, Thule, Bugaboo — unreachable this pass; not verified.

What we could not verify

  • Cloud T specifically — no Cybex page we reached confirms every current stroller-frame adapter fits the Cloud T (the newest, largest Cloud variant) without a possible separate part. Treat as likely-fits-Cybex’s-own-frames but not hard-confirmed.
  • BOB Gear — retailer listings mention Aton 2, Aton M, and Cloud Q compatibility with BOB adapters, but BOB’s own adapter-finder page loads its compatibility data via client-side JavaScript that a raw HTML fetch doesn’t capture. We are not publishing this as a manufacturer-confirmed answer.
  • Baby Jogger, Thule, Bugaboo — not reached this pass at all.
  • UPPAbaby Minu V3 — the specific adapter page URL 404’d during this research pass; Aton/Cloud compatibility for Minu is unconfirmed pending the correct current URL.

Why this matters

A wrong “fits” on an infant seat isn’t a minor inconvenience — it’s a seat that can detach from a stroller frame it was never tested on. The Aton/Cloud split is exactly the kind of distinction that’s easy to blur in a fast retailer write-up and genuinely dangerous to get wrong: an Aton owner and a Cloud owner searching “Cybex UPPAbaby adapter” will land on the same page, but only one of them has a real answer.
